Natural Balance Cat Food

I’ve tried, or more accurately my kitties have tried, more than a few higher quality cat foods. Based on my experience Natural Balance seems to be a great all natural cat food. It doesn’t have the organic ingredients, but it does have the other things I look for in a high quality cat food.

I’ve become a strong believer that it is well worth the time to find a premium cat food. You may need to try a few to find the ones your cat or cats love, and you may not be able to buy it at your local grocery store, but once you start feeding your cat a quality natural or organic cat food you will notice the difference. You kitty will be happier and healthier, and you should notice less shedding, a healthier coat and hopefully less unscheduled visits to the vet. A premium cat food can not only help keep your cat healthier but it can also help her avoid some common cat health problems.

One nice thing about Natural Balance Pet Foods is that they are all stages pet foods, meaning you won’t have to buy separate senior cat food and kitten food if you have cats of various ages in your household. Each bag or can of food is balanced for all breeds and ages of cats.

Like other high quality cat foods they use high quality proteins, no by-products, fresh vegetables and essential fatty acids in their pet food formulas. They don’t use artificial flavors, colors or preservatives, basically no junk. They also claim their natural cat food is highly digestible, and from my experience this seems to be true. I have one cat that has a sensitive stomach and she has done really well with this food; she never throws up after eating it. I also don’t have as much of a problem with hairballs with this brand of cat food.

Because of my sensitive kitty I started buying the Natural Balance Limited Ingredient Diet cat food. This food is great for cats that have specific food allergies or food sensitivities. It is grain free — grains can be difficult for a lot of sensitive kitties — instead it uses green peas as a high quality carbohydrate and energy source. Because some cats can even be sensitive to specific protein sources it uses single source protein, for example the salmon and green pea formula only uses salmon as a protein source.

The Natural Balance L.I.D formulas are available in salmon, duck or chicken for dry cat food, and salmon, duck, chicken or venison as canned cat food.

Overall I’ve been really happy with this healthy cat food, both the dry and canned versions. I have cats ranging from one year to twenty years old, they all like this food and have done really well on it. They also continue to like this food more than some of the others I’ve tried, like the Organix Cat Food. The Natural Balance Cat Foods seem to be one they always eat well and enjoy. Plus the small kibble seems to be easier for my senior cat to eat.
